Session information and recorded presentationhttps://training.springshare.com/springycamp/2024/streamlining-passport-services-with-libcal-appointments

Product Covered: LibCal

In this presentation, we will discuss how Harris County Public Library (HCPL) uses the LibCal Appointments module to streamline passport appointment scheduling. By automating confirmations, reminders, and managing time slots, we’ve improved staff efficiency and enhanced the patron experience. We’ll share insights on our implementation process, the positive impact on reducing no-shows, and how the system can be customized for various appointment-based services.

Have any questions for Aleca and Mumtaz of Harris County Public Library?

Terrific job, Aleca and Mumtaz! Here is one question that we didn't get to answer live:

From Kristen: Is it possible in the appointments module to mark no-shows and run no-show reports?

Is there a place to find the slides? Would also love to email the presenter a question.

Thank you so much for attending our session today and to the whole Springy crew who made it possible. It was lovely to be part of the first Public Libraries Springycamp!

Re: Kristen's question, "Is it possible in the appointments module to mark no-shows and run no-show reports?". The answer is, yes! Staff can report if the patron "Yes" showed up or "No" they did not. In the Stats module, if we run a report for Passport Services, we can see the "Yes" and "No" stats.

For anyone curious about Appointments stats (to see stats on whether the User Showed Up), check out our FAQ here: LibCal statistics: Appointments

The User Showed Up is listed in the various tables — just be sure that it gets recorded! (Whether they showed up can be updated long after the fact, for anyone who forgets. 🤓)

Here's an example of the Appointments Summary — the User Showed Up detail is on the far right.

Thanks again for the great session! If others have how-to questions about Appointments, send them to Support's way by filling out our Support form.

If anyone has questions for Aleca and Mumtaz about how they set up their Passport bookings or hope for related commentary about the experience, feel free to post here! 😁
