Day 2 - Student Use of Space in the new Library: An investigation with LibWizard
Session information: https://buzz.springshare.com/springycamp/2022/student-use-of-space
This presentation will show how librarians at the University of Houston-Victoria use LibWizard to investigate how students are using space in our new library. In our presentation, we will discuss how we developed what we included in the survey and the logistics of launching a project like this, how we actually created the survey in LibWizard using features like conditional logic and certain types of fields to make sure our data would be useful, how we can evaluate the data both within LibWizard and using the export feature and, of course, what we learned along the way. Our presentation would benefit any librarians who are curious about how their space is being used but don’t require bookings of all of their spaces.

We used to use LibInsight for this. Glad to know that LibWizard Forms might also work. What tech did you use when people went around the library every hour? Tablet? Laptop? or something else. Thanks!

Really would love to have your form. Is there a way you could share?? Great job putting this all together.

@Cybrarian To your first question, we went low-tech and used a laminated version of the form. We would take the filled out laminated form and enter in the results on a desktop. However, if your library has a tablet it could easily be done that way! It just depends on what your staff is comfortable with.
Here is a link to the form!
