While we are continuing to monitor LibGuides for additional release related issues, all items referenced in this post seem to now be fixed.

The update will take a few hours to propagate to your region, so if you continue to see issues later today/tomorrow (after clearing your browser cache/refreshing your pages), let us know!

Hi all! Just wanted to post an update that our developers are working on these issues, and we hope to have the fix for them released soon!

Also, if what you're seeing is not listed in the known issues below, then you're welcome to comment here so we can see it and let our development team know.

2025-07-15 11:52 PM ET - EU/AU Regions - We've received multiple reports of issues with the LibGuide settings not appearing correctly. Presently, this includes:

The Guide level Column settings are not displaying on the editing page
Guide JS/CSS settings are not displaying on the editing page.
Guide Type/Group setting not displaying the saved Group on the editing page.
Group Applied Guide Templates, noting applying to editing pages (applies on the public side normally)
System level/Group level Tab & Box color settings are not applying correctly.
When adding a user to a Group, the Add User modal doesn't populate.
E-reserves manual sorting is not working.

Our team is aware of the issue and will be adding future updates to this post.

Hi all,

I have submitted a support ticket, but given the time difference with Support (we're in Australia) I wanted to see if anyone else was online having the same issues with LibGuides.

We are seeing:

tab background colour reverting to default blue even though our system and group settings for tab colour remain customised
unexpected changes to navigation (from side to top) and placement of boxes in the admin end that don't reflect in the front end.

This is quite problematic as we use LibGuides for our Library website.

We have the same issue as well (Yes- We are from Australia too)

Thanks for confirming Joey! I was fairly certain it wasn't due to any minor CSS customisation I'd done, but there's always the fear. Hopefully it won't take too long to resolve.

Hi Katherine,

Us too with the tabs and box options reverting to the default colour. We both side and top nav for our guides so going to have to go through them and figure out if that second issue is happening for us too… 😅

We are another Australian site with the same issue. Box and tab colours have become light grey and blue respectively, and changing the default look and feel does not make any difference. The guides do not have their own.

I also notice that the look and feel section on the new dashboard does not include controls for box colours.

I guess I'll also log a support ticket :)

@HCheng we use both too - it seems to only be side nav that's reverting to top nav (not the other way round) and only in the admin end.

We (Bond University in Australia) are seeing it too on the admin side, but so far not affecting our public pages - probably our css is prevailing.

@petahopkins I checked the public pages of a few Aus unis with more customisation than we have and it seems unaffected! Another argument for a full CSS "skin"

I reckon side nav to top nav issues in admin end apply to the guides assigned to a group (in our case). Our guides that aren't assigned to a group remain side nav.

I'm also not seeing the Guide-level Custom CSS option under the Guide Layout menu icon - was this removed in a release and I missed it?

I'm not seeing it either! I didn't notice it mentioned in the latest release notes and I recall using it fairly recently too (within the last month).

Hi all, we're just now being alerted to this issue, and we'll get this addressed as soon as we can. This is only affecting the AU/EU regions.

I'm glad you've reported this because we're seeing exactly the same problem here at Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. One of my colleagues reported it to me just now. I'll put in a support call, too.

We are unable to add users to groups too!

We are experiencing a couple of issue so far:

our boxes suddenly have borders even though we've got borders set to 0 in look and feel
The edit view of our guides looks like tabbed navigation when our settings are side-nav and the public pages are sowing side-nav. I had sent a support ticket with some screenshots before reading this thread.

This currently related to the Tab & Box settings not being applied to Guides.
This is related to the Group Guide Template settings not applying to Guides.

Both these issues should be fixed in related updates that we plan on issuing today.

Hi,

We're still experiencing an issue with editing assets.

When we edit an asset, the URLs in the Guide Mappings panel open the assets window instead of the specific Guide or page where the asset is mapped.

Is anyone else in the EU or AU regions encountering the same problem?

While we are closing this discussion due to the main items being addressed, I just wanted to add note to say that we've also released a hotfix for the Asset Guide Reuse Links today as well.

It might take some time to propagate to your region/might also require a browser cache clear, however, the issue should be resolved at this time! :)
